The Texas taco salad was the best I've eaten. Hubby had shrimp chummy & said it was very good. Chips/salsa so fresh. Waitresses were on point & very nice.
Food was very good. The only thing bad about this restaurant is they only give you 2 baskets of chips per table. So we had 4 people at our table and could only get 2 baskets without paying more money but a table of 2 gets the same amount. If it didn't take so long to get your food people wouldn't eat as many chips. I have never heard of a restaurant doing this.
Great tasting Mexican cuisine in a beautiful clean newer restaurant. The service was excellent and easy to get in, eat, and get back to work from lunch. The location is neatly decorated and can accommodate groups for lunch and easily do separate checks. It is really easy to find using Google Maps and is close to U.S. Highway 41 in Vincennes, Indiana.
I eat here a few times per month, and it's definitely the best Mexican cuisine in the area. I've been to Mexico and lived in the southwest, so I have had the authentic experience. It is authentic in the atmosphere, but the food is catered to the area. For my area and its clientele, I feel that it is a bit watered down flavor wise, but that is a personal concern, and I do recommend giving this place a try. The Mai Tai's are fabulous, and my go-to order is the Taco Loco or Carnitas.

Our tortillas had hot pink stuff on them that looked like lipstick...not sure what it was ! They did take it off the bill but never explained what it was. A server crumpled my tortillas up with his bare hands and said "it's not lipstick" and just walked off
This place is pretty solid. We eat here often. My Wife and kids prefer this place to all others. El Corral kinda set a standard. The staff is so friendly. Though we did get whip cream in my youngest son's eye on his birthday. The food is on point almost every time. Though we did once get a small corner piece of a plastic bag in our food once, they comped the whole meal, on a real high ticket. This place handled it real well. We dig El Corral. They serve alcohol pretty well too. Drinks on point. Glasses frosted. They handle a big party extremely well. This place is an expanded menu and a fowl away from being a 5 star. Even with a couple of issues we keep going back. It's so close to the 5 star. I know of a couple of places with a little flare nipping at their heals with big bad menus. Vincennes undoubtedly has the absolute best Mexican restaurants.
I've been here a few times. This last time seems smaller than I remember. The staff did not disappoint with my request for a spicy salsa with a hint of habernero. I enjoyed the fare as it is better than some of the other mexican restaurants in town as far as certain dishes. But my experience with Mexican dishes range from California, Tex Mex, Tijuana, Puerto Peñasco, and Mexicali with various homemade and restaurants. Majority was street foods or standard fare. Each chef or cook has different level of flavors and ingredients.
